The BIG Dream...

Ever since I was a little girl the only thing I knew I wanted out of my life was to be a mom. I had these big dreams of being a stay at home mom. That was it - I was smart with any opportunity at my footsteps, but I didn't have big dreams... Until I realized that in today's economy, being a stay at home mom is a big dream - life is expensive, and a one income family wasn't in our cards.

So instead, I purposed my passion for helping people and became a nurse. And when we became pregnant with our first - I vowed that I would do whatever I could to be home as much as possible with her. So I worked nights and weekends. Yes, I am one of the crazy ones who is up all day with her kids, up all night at work and then up all day with my kids. It is a hard. I am not going to lie. But I was living my dream, or so I thought.

After years of doing this, I started to notice that it took a toll on my health - sleep pattern issues, weight gain, worsening thyroid condition, depression - and I just wasn't the mom I wanted to be. With little sleep, I found myself impatient and just counting down the hours to bedtime.

To make a long story short, when this business fell into my lap - I didn't really take it seriously, until I realized that this was my 'way out' of these endless days and nights of no sleep. This had the potential to get me closer to my 'big dream'.

But how could I fit this in? Because it isn't like I would get rich overnight... I found the key in schedule and consistency.... And I would be lying if I said it was easy, there have been sacrafices... but today I am my own boss - I still work as a nurse, but on my terms - I work when I want, and how much I want... and I am running my business from my home... So you might be thinking - "How do I run a business from home, with my young girls here?" Well here is my schedule:

 

I am so happy with where our lives our - we have the extra income to travel a bit, pay off some debt, and be at home 92% of the time (yes, I did that math lol)... I feel so blessed that I can live out my passion for helping people, while living out my dream of being home with my girls - My schedule allows me to have one on one time with each one of them each day and build a financial future for my family.. and for me, it doesn't get much better than that!

I am currently growing my team, to help other moms live out their dreams - whether it is to have money for groceries, to have a fun money account or to stay at home like me - I am looking for you... Coach while on your own journey!

I am about to get deep, out of my comfort zone... rrreeaaall personal ((deep breath))

It was about 11 months ago that I started coaching with Beachbody, as my anniversary date approaches, I can't help but think about my life almost a year ago...

For me, coaching kind of happened by accident - it was never my intention... I wanted to drop a significant amount of weight after the birth of my second daughter - I was on an unpaid maternity leave and struggling financially, but was desperate to drop these pounds and without ever trying it, I believed in the products... When my products came, I posted a photo on Facebook and I got a huge response - everyone wanted to know what I was doing, what Shakeology was, and how they could get involved - and I accidentally became a coach....

My goals as a coach were simple, PAY FOR MY OWN JOURNEY! Period... After an unpaid maternity leave, some medical bills, and just life - we could not afford any extra frills... Once I met my goal of paying for my shakes, I thought to myself "a little extra money a month would really be helpful" because at this point I was living pay check to pay check.... Then I had the opportunity to go part time in my nursing job, and thanks to my income from coaching, I gladly took the position.... Fast forward to today, I am working as a part time nurse (on track to go casual by the end of the year) and I have the extra money to afford an organic lifestyle, I can afford to buy things that before I would have had to pass on, I was able to use cash for our trip to Disney, I was able to pay cash for Christmas (something we have always charged in the past!), I have doubled the amount put in my girls college funds, and I have helped changed many lives along the way!

Perhaps the more rewarding part of coaching has been what it has done for me outside of the financial arena... Coaching constantly pushed me out of my comfort zone - and because of these pushes I become more successful as a coach but I also started discovering myself... If you are a mom, I am sure you can relate - you feel like you lose your body to your babies, but you fall into a role of cook, maid, taxi driver, stain scrubber, booger wiper, diaper changing, washing dishes robot - day in and day out.. and don't get me wrong, this is what I wanted from my life - to be a mom and be all those things for my family - but in all those roles I lost my passion, I lost who I was.. I found a community, woman like me, woman nothing like me, inspiring, passionate, fabulous people - Beachbody quickly became more than just products, more than helping people with transformations, more than ending the trend - it became a second family.... the good, the bad, the ugly - they have been there for me, even when it wasn't related to the business - they helped me through the low times and celebrated the great times - they keep me going through it all....

I have the most amazing opportunity as a coach - I have the ability to help people change their lives physically, financially, and mentally the way my own life has been transformed! I love what I do and I work day in and day out to help my coaches reach and exceed their goals - I am feel so happy and blessed to be able to do so!
